I had a meeting with a pump educator to go over pumps and while there are things I like about some of them there are still some things I can not get over. Basically, I'm still mulling over it all. My favorite one seems to be the One Touch Ping. BUT it has only been on the market for a month. One month. I'm of the league that believes items should be out two years or more in order for kinks to be worked out and for consumer reviews to be processed. The ping does not have this. The pump educator said she has had two people go on it. I asked her to keep me updated on any more information she gets. I left with packets on each pump to look over.

I noticed recently that I'd forgotten to code my meter and test strips. I'd been using the strips for a couple of weeks. As far as I could tell none of the readings were majorly off. I felt low and got low readings, I felt fine and got decent readings, I felt high and got high readings.
After coding meter and strips then doing a control test I pondered. The ponderment: why can't they make this test strip meter stuff easier already? Why do we need to worry about coding the strip vial with the meter?
Also, do not get me started on the control solution. It is messy and gross. Why isn't it easier to use as well?
