Our House

We sold our house. We are almost there. Contract has been signed. We just need to inspection and then fix whatever, if anything, the inspector finds. Then we are off in the clear.

Only thing is they want to close on August 15th. That just gives us two weeks to find a place to rent. We are looking at homes this weekend, but we aren't getting our hopes up that we will find anything. I can't believe I need to start packing almost immediately.

Ack!!!

SAVANNAH!!!!

Firstly, my husband and I have been married a year. July 21, 2008 was our one year anniversary.

It's crazy since it doesn't seem like it has been a year at all. Time flies when you are truly having fun.

We decided to take a trip to Savannah, GA for a few days in celebration of our anniversary. It was the first time for both of us.

It was beautiful. Lovely homes, gardens, and squares everywhere. It is a walking city and I love walking cities.

We stayed a bed and breakfast called Olde Harbour Inn located on Factors Walk. It was a nice place and the room seemed like your very own apartment. Breakfast was delicious as was the wine and cheese reception held daily from 5-7pm. Our inn was located right on Riverstreet, which had shopping and restaurants, so we walked Riverstreet one day and ate along there most nights.

We ate at The Pirate house for lunch, The Shrimp Factory for dinner, Belford's for lunch, and Huey's for dinner. They were all wonderfully delicious. Pirate House lunch was buffet and I highly recommend it. Their seafood au graten was to lovely to my mouth. We also had drinks at The Boar's Head.

We did a Historic Savannah trolley tour, through Olgethorpe Tours, that offered on/off passes so you could go back to visit areas on their stops. We saw Forsyth Park, Colonial Cemetery, Saint John the Baptist Cathedral, and City Market.

We also walked through some of the squares that were close to our hotel. The squares are beautiful and I could have spent the whole time walking through as many as I could. Our inn was located very close to Emmet Park, which was just as nice and lovely to walk through
